What's wrong, Apple Bloom? Feelin' a mite jealous of your friends? Sit down a moment.
It all comes down to magic, don't it? Unicorns' heads are full of it, in the horn. They can do tricks we can only dream of. Just a thought, and amazin' things happen.
Pegasi? The magic's in their wings. Glidin' through the air, corrallin' clouds, movin' the weather around. They can zip across countryside that'd take us an hour to cross in a minute.
Us though? Nah, nah, don't look so sad. They don't know, them unicorns and pegasi. We have magic. Surprised? Oh, it's true, cross my heart.
Our magic's in our legs. Yep. Strength, and the will to work all day and run a race at the end of it. Endurance, was the word Twilight used. Oh, don't look so sour.
I'll tell you a secret. One thing we can do that no amount of book-learnin' or wind-ridin' will ever let them know.
We can feel the earth.
It's alive, Apple Bloom. The whole world. It's got a heartbeat, strong and slow. It's hard to hear sometimes. Ya get distracted, worried, scared, and it's hard to pick out of the noise of a normal day. But sometimes, if ya can find a quiet, still place, you can feel it.
Sometimes, you can listen real hard. It feels like your own body slows down, heart to heart, each beat makin' your mind spin, and you feel like you're part of something... wonderful.
And when that happens... sometimes you can see some real magic.
